Jewelry Care

None of our pieces can be worn in water (shower, bath, hot tub, swimming pool, lake, ocean, etc.), chemicals found in most water supplies will ruin the finish of the jewelry.

DO NOT use any liquid jewelry cleaners on charms and pendants.  Most of them contain harsh chemicals that will remove any blackening in the letters and destroy the finish.

STERLING SILVER:  To clean your sterling silver jewelry use warm water with mild liquid dish soap and your fingers.  Do not rub the jewelry with a towel (most towels are too rough and can scratch your pieces).  Rinse the jewelry and pat dry with a very soft towel.  After the jewelry is clean use a sterling silver polishing cloth to polish the silver piece.  Sterling silver pendants and charms can tarnish and scratch immediately if they are worn with other pieces of jewelry that are next to each other and pieces rub or bang up against each other.

STAINLESS STEEL: To clean your stainless steel jewelry use warm water with mild liquid dish soap and your fingers.  Do not rub the jewelry with a towel (most towels are too rough and can scratch your pieces).  Rinse the jewelry and pat dry with a very soft towel (do not rub).

PEWTER:  Pewter does not tarnish, but it will pick up skin oil and then dirt will stick to the oil giving it a tarnished appearance.  To clean your pewter pieces use warm water with mild liquid dish soap and your fingers.  Do not rub the jewelry with a towel (most towels are too rough and can scratch your pieces).  Rinse the jewelry and pat dry with a very soft towel.  After the pewter piece is clean use a polishing cloth that is made for sterling silver to polish the pewter (they can be purchased in all jewelry stores).

CHAINS:  Sterling silver chains can be cleaned with a liquid jewelry cleaner (found in jewelry stores).  We do not recommend any liquid cleaners that are sold in discount stores (only in reputable jewelry stores).

PLEASE NOTE:  We will not replace or repair your jewelry if it is worn in water or if you use any type of liquid jewelry cleaner (no matter the brand).
